Biography

Extensive experience in generalist HR and international reward. My passion is about creating change and enabling managers to make better decisions as a result.  

Initially working as a generalist before moving to reward and understanding the link between reward, performance, what drives individuals to perform better and be more engaged in the business they work for.

I've worked and advised across multiple sectors including shipping, property, media, education, healthcare and the third sector, each one bringing their own diverse challenges.  

As a consultant I listen to the needs of the business, challenge the status quo and deliver results.  It may be reviewing a pay structure, an incentive plan, building a vision for systematic new working practices or educating managers on data informed decision making while realising that money is rarely the answer.

 

Reward doesn't stand alone and linking to all other HR practices means achieving the right result, not any result.

Great HR is being the trusted advisor, the person who can communicate the vision and provide the guardrails for good working practices.
